Operation Military Child Care (OMCC) – NACCRRA Military Programs
Eligible families include National Guard and Reserve service members during activation/deployment in support of the Global War on Terrorism and for 30 days after their return. Deployed active duty soldiers, sailors, Airmen and marines who are unable to access care on military installations during the deployment period and for 60 days after their return (as military parents) may use OMCC. OMCC helps military families locate affordable child care options in the local communities. Fee reductions for military family members are based on Total Family Income (TFI).
Operation Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood (OMCCIYN) – NACCRRA Military Programs
NACCRRA partners with state and local CCR&Rs to locate or develop high-quality child care spaces that meet DoD quality standards. OMCCIYN provides assistance to lower the child care cost to military families and meets the needs of service members living in areas where on-base military child care is not available. Eligible service members include Recruiting Specialists, Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) instructors, Military Entrance Processing (MEP) personnel and service members on independent duty assignments. Care is comparable to military-operated on-base spaces and meets most DoD and service standards. Some examples of programs that DoD considers to offer high-quality care include: Nationally accredited child care centers or FCC homes, FCC homes with a CDA-credentialed provider, and federally or GSA-accredited centers.
