Summer camp consists of 10 one-week sessions and will be closed on July 5.

Eligibility:

Military families where both parents work full time and DOD civilians on McChord have priority. In all cases, first priority will be given to active duty personnel.


Admission Requirements:

The parent or legal guardian must present a valid military identification card and the child's current immunization record, and complete AF Form 1181, Youth Flight Patron.


Fees:

Fees and charges are based on total family income and are adjusted annually in accordance with the Military Child Care Act of 1996.

 


Curriculum:

Open-ended developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum promote natural learning experiences based on the interests of the children both at home and in the center.

Staff Training:

All CDC assistants participate in ongoing training in addition to the required annual training updates that include CPR, first aid, recognition and prevention of child abuse, fire and safety.


Food Service:

Food service is provided in accordance with Child Adult Care Food Program guidelines. Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks are provided at no additional cost to parents.

 


Parents' Programs:

Give Parents a Break, Bldg. 578. This Air Force Aid sponsored program provides free child care twice a month to support parents experiencing stressful situations. Referrals for attendance are issued by Squadron Commander, 1st Sgt, Doctor, Chaplain, A&FRC, FAO, CDC or Youth Director.
