Crabbing at Westport / 8 am – 5 pm / Tue, Mar 23 / $25
Yum—Fresh crab! Head to Westport’s bountiful waters for crabbing and sightseeing. Fee includes transportation, crabbing gear and bait. Participants are responsible for providing their own fishing license, lunch for the day and means of transporting the crab.
Night Ski Shuttle to Snoqualmie / 4-11pm / Mar 24 / $15
Can’t wait for the weekend to get out on the slopes? Now you don’t have to! We’re traveling to the Summit at Snoqualmie for an evening of night skiing. The Summit offers a wide variety of terrain from beginner to black diamond, catering to skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. Fee includes transportation only—rent gear or buy your lift ticket from Adventures & save $5 on your transportation fee! See you at the slopes!!
TACOMA EDGEWORKS CLIMBING GYM Military Night / Fri, Mar 26 / 5 – 10:30 PM / $5
Whether you’ve never been climbing before or you have lots of experience, Tacoma Edgeworks has something for everyone. Edgeworks has a variety of climbing terrain and over 10,000 ft of vertical climbing space. Fee includes transportation only, A $9 climbing fee will be collected at Tacoma Edgeworks.
Ape Cave Interpretive Hike / 8am-6pm / Sat, Mar 27 / $30
Explore the Ape Caves near Mount Saint Helens. Travel 1.5 miles along a trail that leads into several lava tubes. Spend time exploring an area sunlight hasn’t touched for more than 2000 years. This is an intermediate level hike (some uneven terrain inside caves). Bring warm clothes because the average year round temperature is 42 degrees! Fee includes transportation, park and interpretive center entrance fee and guided hike.

Moonlight Snowshoe at Gold Creek Pond / 5:30 pm – 11 pm / Tue, Mar 30 / $25
Enjoy the beauty and solitude of winter in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness on Snoqualmie Pass on a trek through the forest by the light of the full moon. Trip fee includes round trip transportation, instruction, snowshoes, cocoa, headlamp and guide.

Dutch Oven Cooking Class / 5 pm-730 pm / Wed, Mar 31 / $5
Interested in Dutch Oven cooking, but don’t know where to start? Learn how to prepare a full meal using a Dutch Oven, get information on “leave no trace etiquette”, and learn proper cleaning techniques. Fee includes instruction, all cooking equipment and ingredients.

Franklin Falls Hike / 9am -4pm / Sat, Apr 3 / $15
Franklin Falls is the first of three major waterfalls on the south fork of the Snoqualmie River. To gain access to the base of the falls you must hike through some of the only remaining old growth forest found on the I-90 corridor. Bring your rain jacket and a sack lunch. Fee includes transportation and guided tour.

Kayak Ketron Island / 9am – 4pm / Thu, Apr 8 / $30
This small but charming island maintains its separation from bustling day to day life, yet lies only a short distance away. No prior kayaking experience required. Fee includes transportation, kayak, safety equipment and guided tour.

Includes transportation, two hours of horseback riding with instructions and guide.

Backpacking 101 / 5pm – 7pm / Tue, Apr 13 / FREE
Want to explore the backcountry, but not sure where to start? Let us broaden your backpacking skill base. Topics include proper clothing, gear, ABCs of packing and food supplies. Pre-registration required.

Bike the Snoqualmie Valley Regional Trail / 9am – 6pm / Thu, Apr 15 / $25
The Snoqualmie Valley Trail is a great way to explore the valley. We’ll start out in Fall City and bike 15 miles along the Snoqualmie River through salmon farms, natural viewing areas, and salmon viewing points. Fee includes transportation, bicycle, safety gear and self-guided map.
Leavenworth Ale Festival / 11am – 10pm / Sat, Apr 17 / $40
We’re heading to Leavenworth to celebrate “An-Ale-Of-A-Party!” Every year, 22 breweries from all over the world gather in the town of Leavenworth to pour samples of their brews, while food vendors and popular bands entertain thirsty guests. Fee includes transportation and event admission.

YOAFF Westport Crab Derby & Races / 9am – 7pm /Sat, Apr 17 /$20Adult (13+), $15 Youth 12 & under
Eat, race & enjoy a the Annual Crab Derby, Crab Races, and Crab Feed. Fee includes transportation, crabbing gear and bait. You are responsible for your own crab license and transportation of your catch.
Skagit Valley Tulip Festival / 8:30am – 6:30pm / Apr 18 & 24/ $45. Every year, the tulip fields of the Skagit Valley come alive with all the colors of spring. With over 700 acres of tulip fields, every town in Skagit Valley gets involved, holding a festival that lasts throughout the month of April. Travel to La Conner and spend the day sightseeing and visiting the tulip fields and bulb farms in the area. Fee includes transportation.

3rd Thursday Downtown Tacoma Museum Walk / 5 – 8:30pm / Thu, Apr 22 / $5
Enjoy free admission into the Glass, Art and History Museums on the historic waterfront of Tacoma. Fee covers transportation.
Hike Snow Lake in the Alpine Wilderness Area / 8am – 5pm / Fri, Apr 23 / $20
Trek through the forest to reach views of the multiple peaks surrounding Snow Lake. Views within this pristine wilderness area are absolutely stunning. This trip is rigorous with a steep climb in elevation to reach the lake. Remember a camera! Fee includes transportation and guide.
YOAFF San Juan Islands Whale Watching Trip / 9am-9 pm / Sat, Apr 24/$100
Spend the day relaxing on the water around the picturesque San Juan Islands in search of a wide variety of wildlife including Orca, Gray, Minke and Humpback whales. The 5.5 hour tour comes complete with transportation to the departure site, guides and a whale sighting guarantee--That’s right: If we don’t see whales, everyone gets a voucher for a free trip.

Kayak Cutts Island / 10 am- 6 pm / Sun, Apr 25 / $35
The protected waters of Cutts Island are an ideal location for beginning kayakers. Cutts Island has an abundance of wildlife, including seals, birds and sand dollars. Pack a lunch, water, and some snacks. Fee includes transportation, kayaking gear, safety gear and guide.

Dutch Oven Cooking Class / 5 – 7:30pm /
Tue, Apr 27/ $5
Backpacking meals are extremely important after a long day’s hike. This class will teach you to create delicious meals in the backcountry. Topics include types and quantities of food and different cooking methods.

Tacoma Edgeworks Climbing Gym Military Night/ 5-10:30pm/ Fri, Apr 30/$5
Fee includes transportation only. There is an additional fee of $9 for climbing plus rentals (if needed) at Edgeworks.
Mount Si Hike / 8am – 5pm / Fri, Apr 30 / $15
One of the most popular hikes in Washington! The 3.5-mile route to the summit meanders through several different ecosystems and provides views of more than 3,000 feet straight down to the valley and I-90, as well as out to the Olympic Mountains and Seattle. This is a strenuous 7-miles round trip hike. Fee includes transportation and a guide.

The Nisqually Delta is one of the finest estuaries in the Puget Sound, a great place to explore and home to a huge variety of birds & other wildlife.
COMMENCEMENT BAY / Thur, MAY 13
This large, open waterway is a cool paddling experience as you share the water with boats, yachts and the occasional seal.
NARROWS PARK / Tues, MAY 18
This “off the beaten path” kayaking experience will put you close to the Tacoma Narrows Bridge with plenty of shoreline to launch from.

WATERSHED PARK / Thur, MAY 6
Watershed Park in Olympia offers a great outdoor experience under a temperate rainforest canopy leading to one of the largest spring basins in the area.

Try your luck after work with a trip to a local fishing spot. Fee includes bait & transportation. Fishing poles available for rent at Adventures Unlimited. Participants must have a Washington state fishing license.
AMERICAN LAKE HARRY TODD PARK DOCK / Tues, MAY 11
There’s plenty of space to fish for perch, trout, rock bass, bullhead, and even kokanee at American Lake.
SPANAWAY LAKE / Tues, MAY 25
Take a quick fishing trip after work to a local spot and try your luck. Spanaway Lake has great fishing for trout, perch & small-mouth bass.
OLYMPIA OUTDOOR LIFE FESTIVAL

Looking for good advice about the great outdoors? Check out the latest gear for kayaking, backpacking, rock climbing & more. Outdoor Fest guests include Alpine Experience, Olympia Mountaineers and the City of Olympia Parks & Recreation. Fee includes transportation only—festival admission is free.
CAMPING 101 / Mon, MAY 3 / FREE / 5 – 6:30pm
Never been camping or maybe you’re looking for great backpacking tips before you take off on a summer excursion? We’ll go over tent set up, how to build a fire, cooking & storing food items, Leave No Trace and how to properly pack a backpack. Great for the entire family!
LEAVENWORTH BAVARIAN MAIFEST / Sat,
MAY 8 / 9am – 9pm / $30
This is the annual Bavarian “Spring has finally arrived” Festival in Leavenworth. The whole family can experience the Grand Parade, live entertainment, traditional German dancing including the Maipole Dance, the Bavarian Village of Flowers, visit Art in the Park, all the great shops and restaurants and tap your toes to oompah music! Trip fee includes roundtrip transportation.
CARBON RIVER Mountain Biking / Sun, MAY 9 / 9am – 4pm / $25
Bike through the rain forest of Mount Rainier National Park along the Carbon River toward Carbon Glacier. Parts of the road were washed out in the Nov. ‘06 floods, so bicyclists now share the road with pedestrians, but the road is closed to motor vehicles allowing for a safer trip to explore the sights. Fee includes transportation, park admission, bicycle and related safety gear, and guide.

WESTPORT FISHING CHARTER / Sat, MAY 15 / $TBA
Join Adventures Unlimited for a day out on the high seas bottom fishing for sea bass and ling cod. Price of trip is TBA due to fishing charter schedules, but will include all transportation, a spot on the boat, all fishing gear and bait.

Third THURSDAY TACOMA MUSEUM WALK / Thur, MAY 20 / 5:30 – 8:30pm / $5
Stroll through Tacoma’s historic downtown where entry into the History, Art, and Glass museums is free. Fee includes transportation—museum admissions are free.
KAYAKING DAY TRIP – CARR INLET/CUTTS ISLAND 
Sat, MAY 22 / 8am – 7pm / $40
Take an adventure to Cutts Island. This is a 5-mile of paddle, exploring waterways past Raft Island toward Cutts Island, a two-acre marine State Park in Carr Inlet. We’ll get out of the kayaks, explore the island, have lunch and make our way back. Fee includes transportation, all kayaking gear, instruction and guide.
BIKE & HIKE CARBON GLACIER TRAIL / Sun, MAY 23 / 9am – 8pm / $30
We’ll bike 5 miles on the Carbon River Road (bikes & pedestrian use only) in Mount Rainier National Park to a campground where we’ll store the bikes and hit the Carbon Glacier trailhead to hike 3.5 miles to the terminus of the Carbon Glacier. Fee includes bicycle, safety gear, transportation and guide.

YOAFF LEAVENWORTH HORSEBACK RIDING / Sat, MAY 29 / 9am – 6pm/ $55
Ride tall in the saddle on horses from Icicle Outfitters in Leavenworth, over two miles of open country. Rider should be at least six-years old to ride their own horse, but may also be accompanied by an adult on horseback. Fee includes transportation and riding fee.

DOWNTOWN OLYMPIA’S FARMERS MARKET / Sun, MAY 30 / 10am – 3pm/ $5
Browse fresh locally-grown produce and various other edibles from Washington vendors. Food, live music and fun for the whole family. Fee includes transportation.
